A division of Hawaiian Airlines came to MK Consulting Firm needing a complete redesign of their Master Executive Council and Hawaiian Airlines Association of Flight Attendants website.
Hawaiian Airlines had just done a complete rebranding.The flight attendants also just received new rebranded uniforms. MEC needed to rebrand as well yet follow corporate branding guidelines. They had a previous site that frankly, was just terrible. It was basic, with too much text and no actual design and didn't match the rebranding. MK Consulting Firm worked with various divisions of this airline giant to ensure the strict brand guidelines were met. It was our persistence, integrity and realistic expectations that brought this concept to light.
We worked with the MEC to tackle a complete redesign, rebrand, development of the beautiful new website.
02 / Challenges
STATUS UPDATE
The biggest and most fulfilling challenge was adhering to the detailed brand guidelines. We designed a website that suited both both Hawaiian Airlines detailed corporate guidelines while also capturing the spirt of the Hawaiian Airlines Association of Flight Attendants unique brand.
Our primary goal was to convey direclty on the website the information for the thousands of union members. We did this by adding in large photos, the brand colors and the news and updates that the Association required.
03/ Experience
MK Consulting Firm developed a fully custom spec website, then worked with the MEC to receive corporate approved photos and copy that was signed off on all departments.
We created a beautiful website experience that showcases the essence of the HALAFA, MEC and Hawaiian Airlines as a whole. We also ensured that the website allows for user-friendly navigation so that union members can easily find the information they are looking for.
With the new website, all members, each with their own individual needs, had to be provided with the right information. This ranges from understanding their contract, to contacting local and executive council members, and news updates.

Stronger Together, Better Together
The issue was a lack of visual photographs and easy informational engagement for members. We therefore challenged that approach and came with a totally different idea. We got creative with our solutions. We suggested incorporating corporate flight attendant uniform photos and photography for Hawaii's stunning visuals to represent this unique division of Hawaiian Airlines.
